For relocation management companies

Nigeria destination services for relocation partners

GVSS is an on-the-ground Nigeria destination-services provider for relocation management companies that need a local team for the part of a move that happens after the flight lands. GVSS can be engaged per assignment, per batch or as a named provider for a market. GVSS is not a member of any relocation industry body, does not operate a global partner network and does not offer white-label delivery. Scope, availability and cost are confirmed in writing for each request.

Who this page is for

  • Relocation management companies with an assignee moving to Nigeria
  • Destination-services vendors extending their own country coverage
  • Moving companies and international movers handling a corporate assignment
  • Procurement-led talent agencies placing a hire in Nigeria
  • Consulting firms managing a mobilisation that needs ground-level accommodation and support

What GVSS covers in Nigeria

The scope below is the destination-services layer. GVSS is not a full-service relocation provider and does not displace a partner that already handles origin-side immigration, tax and payroll.

Where a partner needs a capability GVSS does not have, GVSS will say so at scoping rather than at delivery. That is the more useful outcome for both sides.

Airport arrival assistance
Meeting, greeting and onward transfer coordination. GVSS currently accepts enquiries for arrival assistance in Lagos and Abuja; airport, terminal and service availability is reviewed and confirmed for each request. No airside, tarmac or gate access is held.
Temporary accommodation
Serviced and short-stay residences to bridge arrival and a longer decision. Leadwood Homes residences are based in Lagos; other cities are scoped per request.
Home search
Option presentation against a brief, viewings, and tenancy coordination with the property manager or agent.
Orientation and school-search assistance
City and neighbourhood orientation, school research and journey analysis. GVSS does not rate schools and cannot guarantee a place.
Settling-in and transport
Utility connections, furniture fit-out through Leadwood Furniture, and corporate vehicle rental or chauffeured transport, confirmed per booking.
Departure support
Move-out scheduling, condition walk-through, meter readings, account closure and outbound transport where requested.

Scope note. Not in scope: immigration and visa processing, tax and payroll advice, legal advice, school placement guarantees, and any representation before Nigerian authorities.

Referral and subcontract workflow

A partner engagement usually runs as a repeated loop rather than a one-off instruction. The shape below assumes the partner remains the client relationship owner and GVSS executes the Nigeria-grounded scope under it.

Partner introduction
A short call to establish the partner's scope, the kinds of assignment it handles and what it expects from a local provider.
Per-assignment brief
Assignee profile, destination city, dates, household composition and required services. GVSS returns a written scope, an availability position and a per-request cost estimate.
Written confirmation
Before anything is booked, GVSS confirms in writing what is included, what is excluded and what the cost covers. A booking is not made against an unconfirmed brief.
Delivery
Arrival coordination, accommodation, home search and settling-in are executed and reported against the agreed scope.
Handoff and close-out
A close-out summary covering what was delivered, what was outstanding and anything the assignee needs to finish themselves. Useful for the partner's own reporting obligation to their client.

Scope note. GVSS does not sign exclusivity, non-circumvention or minimum-volume commitments at the point of introduction. Any such agreement is a commercial negotiation and is handled as one.

How scope is confirmed

Misalignment between a partner and a local vendor is usually a scope problem. GVSS puts scope in writing before booking, and the same scope drives the work and the reporting.

Where a request sits outside GVSS's capability, the answer at scoping is "not this, but possibly this instead". That is a normal outcome and does not affect the partnership.

What the assignment needs
Services, city, dates and household composition.
What GVSS will deliver
Named deliverables with the dependency each one carries.
What GVSS will not deliver
Stated explicitly, including anything the partner may have assumed.
What it costs
A per-request estimate, with anything that would change it identified up front.
What GVSS needs from the partner
Documents, decisions and approvals, with who owns each one.

Communication and handoff

GVSS keeps the partner as the client-facing party. Operational detail may pass through the partner's assignee contact where the partner prefers that, but scope changes and cost decisions stay with the partner.

Handoff matters more than delivery when a partner is supporting a client it does not employ. GVSS closes an assignment with a written summary rather than leaving state in an email thread.

One partner channel
Enquiries are handled by the Global Mobility team during Nigerian business hours, rather than through an automated ticket queue.
Update cadence to the partner
Scheduled against agreed milestones for multi-assignment batches.
Escalation by direct contact
No ticket system. Issues are raised with the named contact and acknowledged.
Written close-out
Delivered, outstanding and assignee-owned items listed explicitly at the end.

Scope note. GVSS does not operate round-the-clock support, and does not commit to fixed response windows or service levels that are not operationally supported.

Data and document boundaries

GVSS handles assignee data only to the extent needed to deliver the agreed scope. This section sets out what that means in practice, so a partner can answer its own client's data questions.

GVSS does not claim specific technical certifications and will not enter a data-processing agreement that asserts standards it cannot evidence. A partner requiring a formal certification or audit right needs to assess that separately with the parent company.

Data actually needed
Contact details, travel dates, household composition and, where identity verification is required by a property or building, the identification a residence asks for.
Retention
Assignment records are retained while the engagement requires them and removed afterwards, unless a legal obligation or the partner's instruction says otherwise.
Biometric data
GVSS does not collect biometric data and does not ask for it.
Sub-processors
Accommodation, property management, transport and school research each involve third parties who see only what the task requires. GVSS does not publish a sub-processor register.
Cross-border transfer
Where a partner sends assignment data from outside Nigeria, GVSS processes it on the partner's instruction. GVSS does not claim data residency or residency-processor status.

Scope note. GVSS does not claim data-processing certifications. If your client requires a signed data-processing agreement naming a legal entity and jurisdiction, raise it before assigning work.

Service limitations

Stating these up front is what keeps a partner relationship working. Each one is a real boundary, not a hedge.

No industry body membership
GVSS is not a member of any relocation, mobility or destination-services industry association, and does not present itself as one.
No global partner network
GVSS operates in Nigeria. It does not represent, and is not part of, any worldwide partner network.
No white-label delivery
GVSS delivers its own services under its own name. It does not deliver under a partner's brand.
No guaranteed service levels
GVSS does not offer fixed service level agreements, guaranteed response times or round-the-clock operation.
No nationwide coverage
Destination-services enquiries are accepted for Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. Those are service coverage areas, not branch offices, and coverage differs by service.
No regulated advice
GVSS does not give immigration, legal, tax or financial advice, and does not act as a school placement agent.

Nigeria coverage for partner assignments

Assignee distribution matters for a partner: the city an assignment is in determines which services can actually be delivered and how much of them needs per-request scoping.

Lagos
The strongest coverage. Leadwood Homes residences, home search, short-stay housing, transport and furniture are established here.
Abuja
Commonly government, diplomatic, institutional and project roles. Housing and transport are scoped per request.
Port Harcourt
Mostly project and rotational work. Housing and transport are scoped per request, and lead time usually follows a mobilisation date.

Scope note. Airport arrival assistance is currently accepted as an enquiry for Lagos and Abuja. Availability is confirmed for each request.

Common questions

For RMC partners: questions GVSS is asked

Is GVSS a member of any relocation industry association?

No. GVSS is not a member of any relocation, mobility or destination-services industry body. GVSS is an independent Nigeria destination-services provider operating within one legal entity, G & V Support Services Limited.

Does GVSS deliver white-label, in another company's name?

No. GVSS delivers its own services under its own name. If white-label delivery is a requirement, GVSS is not the right provider and will say so.

Can GVSS accept a whole batch of assignees at once?

Yes, batches are scoped as one engagement with a per-assignment cost and a shared reporting format. Availability for a batch is still confirmed per assignment, because it depends on the city and dates.

What is the minimum engagement GVSS would accept?

A single assignment is acceptable. Per-assignment scoping carries a fixed cost, so GVSS will say so openly when the volume does not justify the overhead, and will suggest an alternative arrangement.

Can GVSS sign a data-processing agreement naming a legal entity and jurisdiction?

GVSS is operated by G & V Support Services Limited in Nigeria. GVSS does not claim data-processing certifications, so a partner requiring formal certification evidence should raise it before assigning work rather than after.

Which Nigerian cities does GVSS cover?

Destination-services enquiries are accepted for Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. These are service coverage areas, not branch offices, and coverage differs by service. Airport arrival assistance is currently accepted as an enquiry for Lagos and Abuja.

Does GVSS provide service level agreements or 24/7 support?

No. GVSS does not offer fixed service level agreements, guaranteed response times or round-the-clock operation. Engagements are governed by an agreed written scope instead.
